Tryout Structure & Eligibility
Interest in WABL continues to grow, and we’re committed to giving every player a fair opportunity to showcase their skills and teamwork.
To support this, the tryout process has been split into two sessions:
Session 1: NEW TO CLUB
Open to players who did not play WABL for East Perth Eagles in 2025.
This session allows coaches to assess players without the influence of returning athletes.
Players who demonstrate WABL-level potential will be invited to Session 2 via phone or email.
Session 2: RETURNING 2025 EAGLES + INVITED PLAYERS
Open to players who played WABL for East Perth Eagles in 2025, along with those invited from Session 1.
Age Group Eligibility
Age groups are based on the player’s age as of 31 December 2025.
Example:
If a player turns 11 on or before 31 December 2025, they will attend the U13 tryout session.
To assist with accurate registration, birth years have been included in the registration form.
Please ensure you select the correct age group when registering.
